User Support

 

Our network runs on UnrealIRCD platform, and we recommend you download our script in the download page coded by our scripting team, hence it includes almost all user commands that are compatible with our network and services. Below are some basic commands that might be informative to you on the web chat or even on mirc, or join #help channel on live chat, alternatively you may email us on support@cafecorner.net for further assistance.

 

Using a different font color?

Once the chat applet loads, you will see at the bottom right of your screen, a color palette. Just choose a color, and start typing.

 

Changing my nickname?

You may log-in again with a different nick, or otherwise, may type /nick NEWNICK to change your nick.

 

Joining other channels?

On the top menu, click on Channels, and on the list, just double click on the channel you wish to join. You can be on many channels at the same time, at the bottom you'll see in a button format in which channels you are currently logged in, for example: #cafe #help - You may click on the channel name and switch from window to window!

 

How do I register my nickname?

Type /ns register yourpassword youremail - In case you need help regarding this, just request for a Moderator help, one of them should message you and assist in registering. Please note, if you do not use your nickname for over 30 days, it will expire.

 

Being promoted as a moderator?

First rule, do not beg for moderator, or any access in the network, since they are not asked for, its something granted as a privilege. Its a completely a voluntary commitment on your part, and if you are chosen as one by an Administrator, please do live up to that persons recommendation.

Choosing a moderator is completely based on these basic characters:

1) How often you visit the chatroom, and how long you spend online.

2) Friendly & mature, and does not harass or discriminate others.

3) Introduces friends to join our chat.

Either as a user or moderator, you are bound by certain network Guidelines, make sure to read them!
